	Betamethasone 0.1% ointment (15 g) INDICATIONS AND USAGE: Topical cor ticosteroids are indicated for the relief of the inflammator and pruritic manifestations of cortico- steroid-responsive dermatoses. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Apply a thin film of Betamethasone Valerate Cream or Ointment to the affected skin areas one to three times a day. Dosage once or twice a day is often effective. Newmans ointment should be applied sparingly after each feeding until the mother is pain free and then decrease over a week or 2 until the pain stops. If this topical treatment provides no pain relief in 3-4 days or is needed longer than 2-3 weeks to keep pain free, then the nipple-areolar skin and the milk shuld be tested.
